Getting Around

Because we know that many of us overestimate our ability to get around in a foreign country, especially when we don’t have a good command of the language, we try to make it as painless as possible.

If you feel that you may struggle with transportation, please never hesitate to ask for help. We’re right here! Simply LIKE our Facebook Page and send us a message. We are almost always connected via our Facebook Pages.

Of course, if you are happy to venture out on your own, we have given you a few links to help you on your way. Trains, planes, buses, coaches, boats and ferry’s are very well connected in European countries. We recommend where you can to take advantage of this mode of transport since driving a hire car or riding a moped in Italy can be nerve racking!

We have a number of widgets and links under the ‘Getting around’ tab, to help get you to your destination and a few words of advice. For example, heading to Ponza? Take the ferry from Formia and if you are driving, leave the car at the port. You really won’t need it. Ponza offers a bus service every 30 minutes and it is only 1.20 euros regardless of where you get on or off. Ponza was not designed to take a lot of cars and you will struggle to park anywhere! That includes the hiring of a moped or jeep. Just something to keep in mind.

If you need any help or have any questions at all, please get in touch. We are here to see that you get the most out of your Italian adventure.
